65West AI Image Generator (ZT/K2) HTML User’s Guide • Program version 1.0.1
Living User’s Guide

Create, manage, refine, and present locally generated AI artwork.

This guide explains the current Windows application from first launch through advanced prompting, LoRAs, face tools, image refinement, generation history, and the fullscreen slideshow.

Program v1.0.1 Integrated local AI workflow Windows desktop application Guide edition: September 27, 2026

Public Demo and Licensing

The combined Z-Image Turbo/Krea 2 public Demo provides the complete local generation workflow. Its restriction is a translucent tiled 65West logo written into every completed image. While the application is not activated, the header explains that activating with a purchased license key removes the Demo watermark from future generated images. This note disappears immediately after successful activation. The header also shows the current entitlement state and provides a silver Manage License button.

Fully functional Demo

No image-count or time limit is imposed. Z-Image Turbo, Krea 2 Turbo, Generation, and Auto-Generate remain available after the local PIN is accepted, with the watermark applied as the final output operation.

Perpetual license

A purchased 65West AI Image Generator license removes the watermark from future generations. It may be active on two devices and can be deactivated when an activation needs to be transferred.

  • The watermark is embedded in ZT and K2 main completed images, Session History images, preserved original-size variants, manual saves, and automatic saves.
  • Images created in Demo mode are not retroactively changed after activation.
  • License activation, validation, and deactivation use the production 65West licensing service and signed offline certificates.
  • The numeric PIN remains a local access-control feature and is not a commercial authorization mechanism.
  • The installer still displays the Terms of Use and requires acceptance before setup continues.
  • Models, VAEs, LoRAs, outputs, settings, generated images, and other creative files remain locally managed.
Production licensing: this ZT/K2 release uses the same live Paddle catalog entry and product-specific signed certificates as 65West AI Image Generator (ZT). A valid generator license unlocks the application, while licenses for other 65West products are rejected.

Quick Start

1

Launch and unlock

Open the program using its launcher. On first launch, create a numeric PIN; later launches request that PIN before the application opens. After local access is confirmed, the ZT/K2 workspace opens in its normal maximized state.

2

Select the model

Choose an installed Z-Image Turbo or Krea 2 Turbo model under Active Model. Fresh setup installs both protected official default models (approximately 70 GB combined) and their matching managed VAEs. Krea 2 requires acceptance of its Hugging Face model terms; run Setup_Krea2_Model_Access.bat if access is needed. Switching model families automatically selects the matching managed VAE and recommended scheduler shift.

3

Write the prompt

Describe the subject, environment, composition, lighting, wardrobe, camera view, and intended medium. Add optional LoRA, wildcard, or face-reference tags.

4

Choose generation settings

Select Ideal Portrait or Ideal Landscape for recommended Z-Image Turbo dimensions, or choose custom width and height values. Then set steps, seed behavior, sampler recipe, scheduler shift, and optional tools such as Face Swap or the Face Detailer.

5

Generate

Click Generate Image. A live preview initially appears in the lower-right corner of the main viewer while sampling is underway and can be moved anywhere over the application window.

6

Review and save

The finished image appears in the main viewer and Generation History. Save generated image automatically on completion is off by default; enable it when completed images should be written directly to the selected output directory. The application-owned location appears simply as Output and resolves to the Output folder inside the application root. The full-width Notes box near the bottom of the options panel can be used for project notes, prompt ideas, LoRA observations, or other reminders.

Z-Image Turbo first test: select Ideal Portrait (3:4) for 864 × 1152, use 8 steps, res-multistep - simple, scheduler shift 3.0, random seed enabled, and leave optional post-processing off.

ControlPurpose
Generate ImageStarts one generation using the current controls.
Auto-GenerateContinuously generates new images. With random-seed mode enabled, every cycle receives a new seed.
Stop GenerationRequests a stop during the active generation.
Refresh AI MemoryPerforms a quick cleanup of disposable AI runtime allocations while retaining the loaded base model. Its dropdown also provides a confirmed Deep Pipeline Reset.
User's GuideOpens this fully formatted HTML guide in a separate app-style browser window sized for comfortable reading.
Progress bar and timerShow the current step progress and elapsed generation time.
Resource monitorShows live GPU RAM and SYSTEM RAM usage in a compact vertical stack directly beneath the Generation Time and command buttons. Each monitor includes a utilization bar that is green below 70%, yellow from 70% through 84%, and red at 85% or higher. The visible Refinement Capacity bar has been retired; refinement safety is still evaluated from a fresh memory snapshot immediately before the refinement pass.
Program identity: the application icon and title remain visible at the left of the header. The main header row is sized to display the complete icon without cropping at supported Windows display scales.
Formatted guide window: the program uses Microsoft Edge application mode when available so the popup preserves this guide's colors, navigation, search, tables, callouts, and print controls. If Edge is unavailable, the guide opens in the default browser.

Layout controls

Expand Viewer gives more horizontal space to the image area. Balanced Layout restores the standard split between options and viewer. The divider can also be dragged manually, and the program remembers the layout.

Program Functions panel order

The left panel is divided into workflow groups. Interface Style is now the first function, directly above the Prompt, and every existing control retains the same behavior and saved settings.

Each framed function uses a subtly lighter surface than the surrounding main panel. The surface color follows the selected Interface Style automatically, making related controls easier to distinguish without changing their layout.

65West Theme is the official branded presentation and remains the default. It uses the master palette from the supplied brand sheet: near-black navy surfaces, electric cyan framing, blue/violet/magenta accents, metallic-silver identity text, and the official 65West application icon. Other Interface Style choices remain available and continue to preserve the same control layout.

The Program Setup and Utility headings each include a Hide functions checkbox. Checking it collapses all functions in that group while keeping the heading and checkbox visible. Unchecking it restores the group, and both choices are remembered between launches.

Model-loading status: A wide model-optimization notice and animated activity bar appear in the center of the main interface while model, VAE, or LoRA preparation is underway. When a supported external Krea 2 BF16 checkpoint needs its one-time conversion, the notice identifies the checkpoint, its size, estimated temporary disk-space requirement, reusable Diffusers cache, and the current validation, conversion, cache-writing, or component-loading stage. The activity bar intentionally does not display an ETA or percentage because the underlying conversion and serialization operations do not report reliable completion data. During optimization, all other interface controls are temporarily locked and cannot be selected. The locked interface is covered by a neutral semi-transparent black fade instead of bright disabled-control colors. Each control returns to its previous state automatically when optimization finishes or fails.

Release 1.0.21: the model-loading notice now uses optimization terminology, reserves enough interface space for the complete message, and includes an animated indeterminate activity bar.
Release 1.0.23: a live Refinement Capacity monitor now appears below the RAM monitors. Green indicates the selected refinement scale is currently eligible, yellow indicates refinement is limited to 1.25×, and red indicates refinement would be disabled by the limiting memory resource.
Release 1.0.24: the Refinement Capacity status and meter are consolidated into one compact full-width header bar. The status text is centered over the meter so the complete monitor remains inside the dedicated row on narrower displays.
Release 1.0.25: the Refinement Capacity monitor introduced dynamic header alignment so its left edge can follow an interface control when the window size or Windows display scaling changes.
Release 1.0.26: the Refinement Capacity bar height and centered status font were reduced for a compact display while retaining the same live color and capacity information.
Release 1.0.27: the Refinement Capacity monitor now uses direct screen-coordinate positioning from the Stop Generation button through the right header margin, preventing the bar from expanding across the unused left side of the header.
Release 1.0.28: the 1.25× Image Refinement GPU threshold is conservatively reduced to the greater of 3.00 GiB or 18% of total VRAM. The 1.50× threshold remains unchanged at the greater of 4.25 GiB or 25%.
Release 1.0.29: Image Refinement now uses content-aware scene locks instead of injecting human-specific identity terms into every image. Refinement strengths are reduced for stronger composition preservation. Non-human prompts, and human prompts using Figure Count Guard, receive a post-refinement face-count comparison; a result that introduces additional detected people is rejected automatically and the original image is kept.
Release 1.0.30: the header adds a split Refresh AI Memory control. Quick Memory Refresh releases disposable refinement, LoRA, face-tool, Python, and unused CUDA allocations while keeping the base model loaded. Deep Pipeline Reset completely unloads and rebuilds the selected model pipeline after confirmation. Both preserve prompts, settings, generated images, Session History, and model files; neither deletes the Transformers disk cache.
Release 1.0.31: the Refresh AI Memory button is widened so its complete label remains visible. The hidden optimization notice no longer reserves unnecessary header width, preventing the progress monitor from covering command controls. The progress bar and Generation Timer are now top-aligned with the command-button row.
Release 1.0.32: the generation progress bar and Generation Timer now use height-aware vertical insets, centering both monitoring elements against the command-button row while preserving their existing horizontal positions.
Release 1.0.33: successful generations now finish with silent post-generation memory housekeeping. The program releases completed inference results, temporary GPU latents, callback and retry references, refinement wrappers, Python garbage, and unused CUDA cache, then refreshes the memory monitors immediately. The active model, VAE, LoRAs, scheduler configuration, completed images, and CPU comparison latent remain available. No popup or refresh-status message is displayed.
Release 1.0.34: ordinary single-image generation now silently unloads runtime LoRA adapters during post-generation housekeeping while preserving every Included and prompt-tagged LoRA selection and strength for the next generation. Active Auto-Generate cycles retain the loaded adapter stack for speed. When Auto-Generate stops, the program waits for any active worker to finish, silently unloads the retained adapters, releases unused CUDA cache, and refreshes the memory monitors without changing the normal status text or showing a popup.
Release 1.0.35: model, VAE, and LoRA optimization status now appears in a wide overlay centered over the locked main interface. The notice no longer occupies or shifts the command header, and longer loading-stage messages remain readable above the dimmed workspace. The Refinement Capacity monitor bar is also hidden to simplify the header now that silent post-generation cleanup releases temporary memory automatically. The final pre-refinement GPU, system RAM, and Windows commit safety checks remain fully active.
Release 1.0.36: the application interface has been re-skinned from the official 65West branding sheet without changing the established layout, controls, or workflows. The supplied metallic 65/V icon and horizontal wordmark were recovered directly from the master sheet, and a six-size Windows icon was produced. A dedicated Windows AppUserModelID and native window-icon assignment ensure Python-launched sessions use 65West-App.ico in the taskbar and window switcher instead of the generic Python icon. The taskbar correction targets both Tk’s inner client handle and its Windows wrapper, assigns the wrapper class icons, and reapplies the branding after the maximized window is revealed. The default 65West Theme now uses the official dark navy/black foundation, metallic-silver identity text, cyan framing and progress indicators, blue/violet/magenta interaction states, branded menus and loading overlay, and a dark cyan-accented prompt editor. Stop Generation remains red so its safety purpose is immediately recognizable.
Included Upscaler output: Output Size accepts values from 1.0× through 4.0×. Choose 1.0× (Restore Only) for a compatible native 1× restoration model to enhance, deblur, denoise, sharpen, or clean an image without changing its pixel dimensions. Larger requests remain compatible with fixed-scale models: the selected model first performs its native reconstruction, and the program then uses high-quality Lanczos resampling to produce the exact requested dimensions.
Release 1.0.38 startup behavior: a branded startup window appears while the private runtime is checked and the interface is prepared. A complete diagnostic validation runs after installation or repair; later launches use a fast integrity check with automatic full-diagnostic fallback if damage is detected. The graphical application starts through the private windowless Python executable, so no minimized command window remains on the taskbar. After PIN approval, a second preparation window remains visible until the complete main workspace is ready.
Update 1.5: the branded startup window now measures the complete application title in the active Windows font and automatically expands its width when necessary. The title remains on one line without truncation, while the status message and progress bar expand with the window.
Update 1.6: Automatic1111-style prompt weighting is now a standard feature and is enabled by default. The Prompt editor includes an Enable Automatic1111 prompt weighting checkbox so the function can be disabled when literal parentheses or brackets are needed. Parentheses increase attention, square brackets reduce it, explicit numeric weights are accepted, and nested parentheses multiply their effect. Weighting is applied to Z-Image's native Qwen prompt embeddings and remains compatible with wildcards, inline choices, prompt LoRA tags, memory modes, Figure Count Guard retries, and Image Refinement.
Full Baseline 1.7: the Prompt group now includes reusable Prompt Profiles. A profile preserves the current prompt and generation controls, including LoRAs and strengths, wildcards, dimensions, seed mode, sampler/scheduler, refinement, face tools, post-processing, upscaling, border, autosave, and output location. The active model, VAE, their library directories, and memory mode are intentionally excluded so loading a profile does not reload the base pipeline. Profiles are stored separately from normal startup settings and are applied only when Load is clicked.
Model switching in this ZT/K2 build: each selected model runs in a private worker process. Switching the Active Model ends the previous worker and starts a new one so Windows can release its model and GPU allocations. The Full memory reset preference remains visible, but clearing it does not disable this process boundary. Model files, protected defaults, settings, and generated images are preserved.
Full Baseline 1.9: the application now supports both Z-Image Turbo and Krea 2 Turbo. Setup installs both official defaults, and both default model folders and their app-owned caches remain protected when an external model is selected. Z-Image uses its established 8-bit optimized path with res-multistep/simple and shift 3.0; Krea 2 uses its 4-bit transformer plus 8-bit text-encoder path with euler/simple and shift 1.15.
Fresh installation: install.bat sets up the private python\python.exe runtime and installs both protected official defaults under Models\65West_Default_Model and Models\Krea-2-Turbo-Official. Krea 2 access is gated by Hugging Face terms. Restore_Default_Model.bat repairs or resumes both defaults, while Install_Default_VAE.bat repairs both managed VAEs.
Release 1.0.40: the main Prompt editor permanently uses its established light-green #B6F799 background with black text. Applying or changing any installed interface theme no longer changes the prompt workspace colors.
Release 1.0.41: Keep only active model in Transformers cache now permanently protects the optimized cache owned by the official setup-installed Tongyi-MAI/Z-Image-Turbo model. The active model cache is also retained, while other inactive app-generated model caches remain eligible for removal after a replacement model loads successfully.
Default-model restoration: close the application and run Restore_Default_Model.bat to repair or resume either protected official model. It uses only the private application runtime and does not delete external models.
Startup model fallback: when the saved Active Model points to a local file or folder that no longer exists and the Model directory field is blank, startup automatically selects the official default Z-Image Turbo model. The restored local default under the root Models folder is preferred when available; otherwise the official Tongyi-MAI/Z-Image-Turbo repository identifier is used. A deliberately configured Model directory is never overridden by this fallback.
Model-list correction: a complete Diffusers model now appears as one selectable pipeline entry. Internal text_encoder, transformer, and vae weight shards are excluded because they are components of the pipeline, not independent models. Genuine standalone .safetensors and .ckpt models stored outside a Diffusers pipeline remain selectable. A previously saved internal-shard selection is automatically replaced with the complete default pipeline at startup when the Model directory field is blank.

Prompting

The prompt box appears directly below Interface Style in the left options panel. Z-Image Turbo responds best when the prompt describes what should be visible rather than relying on a traditional negative prompt.

A small Clear Prompt button sits directly beneath the prompt input and instantly empties the prompt text box. Right-click inside the prompt editor for Cut, Copy, Paste, and Select All. Keyboard users can open the same menu with Shift+F10.

Prompt Profiles

The Prompt Profile controls appear at the top of the Prompt group. They provide reusable snapshots of the prompt and the settings that affect generation.

ControlBehavior
Profile pulldownSelects an existing saved profile. Selecting a name does not change the interface until Load is clicked.
Save AsPrompts for a unique profile name and saves the current prompt and generation settings.
LoadApplies the selected profile while preserving the active model, VAE, their library directories, memory mode, sampler/scheduler choice, and scheduler shift. Loading a profile does not start a base model or VAE reload. Included LoRA changes are applied by the normal generation path the next time Generate is clicked.
UpdateReplaces the selected profile with the current prompt and generation settings after confirmation.
DeleteDeletes the selected saved profile after confirmation without changing the controls currently shown.

Profiles are kept as versioned JSON files in the application’s prompt_profiles folder. Loading a profile validates referenced local resources. A missing LoRA, upscaler, wildcard folder, or face folder is identified in a warning; the unavailable item is skipped while compatible settings continue to load. Random Faces is disabled automatically when its saved folder is unavailable.

Profile scope: Prompt Profiles save the prompt, Included LoRAs and strengths, prompt-LoRA enable states, wildcard folder, dimensions, steps, seed behavior, Automatic1111 weighting, Image Refinement, Prompt Face Swap folder, Random Faces, Automatic Face Detailer, post-processing, Included Upscalers, border, autosave, and output location.
Not part of a Prompt Profile: the active model and model-library directory, active VAE and VAE-library directory, memory mode, sampler/scheduler choice, scheduler shift, interface theme, window and panel geometry, Live Preview placement, Generation History, generated images, Cached Image Comparison data, slideshow controls, utility notes, and application cache-management preferences remain independent. Older profiles remain compatible; stored model, VAE, memory-mode, sampler, and shift fields are ignored when loaded. Updating an older profile removes those fields from its saved settings.

Useful prompt order

Subject → appearance → pose/action → environment → composition → lighting → rendering medium.

Keep instructions concrete

Specify figure count, clothing coverage, camera distance, body visibility, background activity, and rendering medium when those details matter.

Example

A single adult female explorer, full-body standing pose, practical fitted expedition clothing, leather boots, holding an antique map, ancient jungle temple entrance, centered composition, warm rim lighting, detailed cinematic environment

Prompt emphasis

Automatic1111-style prompt emphasis is enabled by default. The Enable Automatic1111 prompt weighting checkbox directly below the Prompt editor controls the feature, and the selected setting is remembered. Clear the checkbox when parentheses or brackets should be treated as ordinary prompt characters. When disabled, prompts use their literal text without emphasis parsing.

When the checkbox is enabled, the help line below the Prompt editor summarizes the supported syntax. Emphasis is applied after wildcard, inline-choice, face-reference, and LoRA-tag processing using the active model family’s dedicated text-encoding path.

SyntaxEffect
(detailed eyes)Increases attention to the enclosed text by 1.1×.
((detailed eyes))Nested parentheses multiply the effect to 1.21×.
(detailed eyes:1.5)Uses an explicit custom weight of 1.5×.
[background detail]Reduces attention by dividing the weight by 1.1.
\(literal text\)Displays literal parentheses without applying emphasis.

Effective weights are limited to the safe range of 0.0× through 3.0×. Excessive weights can reduce image quality, so values around 1.1× through 1.5× are the recommended starting range. If the active tokenizer cannot map an emphasized phrase safely, generation continues with the emphasis punctuation removed and records the fallback in the generation metadata instead of stopping the program.

Clear the checkbox to use literal parentheses and brackets in a prompt without emphasis parsing.

Inline choices

Use braces to randomly select one option during prompt expansion. Nested choices are supported.

A {red|blue|green} jacket, {sunrise|overcast afternoon|night lighting}

Wildcards

Place text files in the selected wildcard folder and call them with double underscores:

portrait of __character_type__ in __location__

Face-reference tag

Automatic face selection can be requested directly in the prompt:

<face_ref:Sarah.png>
<face_ref:Sarah>

The program searches the configured Prompt face-ref folder recursively and removes the tag before sending the cleaned prompt to the model.

LoRA tags

Models, VAE & Memory

Model directory and Active Model

The Model directory provides a local library that can be scanned with Refresh. If the field is blank, the program automatically uses the Models folder in the application’s root directory. Use Browse beside the Model directory field to select a different model library folder. Choose the model to load from the full-width Active Model pulldown, which can also accept a model path or supported repository identifier.

External Krea 2 model format: version 1.0.1 supports standalone external Krea 2 models only as BF16 .safetensors files. FP8 (scaled or unscaled), FP16, FP32, INT8, NVFP4, GGUF, and .ckpt external Krea 2 models are not supported. The official Krea 2 Diffusers model remains supported.
BF16 source and optimized runtime: the first optimized load converts a supported external BF16 checkpoint into a reusable Diffusers cache. Optimized 16 GB mode then loads that transformer in 4-bit form, so the BF16 source requirement does not mean the complete source checkpoint remains in GPU memory.

Keep the active external model and both protected defaults in the Transformers cache is an optional disk-space setting and is on by default. When enabled, the program waits until a replacement model has loaded successfully, preserves the active standalone-model cache, and permanently preserves caches owned by both setup-installed defaults: Tongyi-MAI/Z-Image-Turbo and krea/Krea-2-Turbo. Other inactive app-generated cache-key folders may be removed. The installed model folders under Models, original external checkpoints, VAEs, and LoRAs are never removed. Full memory reset releases only runtime objects from GPU and system memory.

Full memory reset before loading a different model remains a visible preference. In the current worker-based runtime, a genuinely different Active Model starts a fresh worker process regardless of this checkbox, which releases the old process’s system and GPU allocations. Switching models may take longer because compatible components are loaded again. No installed model, VAE, image, prompt, setting, or disk cache is deleted.

Isolated model runtime: the selected Z-Image Turbo or Krea 2 model is loaded and used inside a child process launched by the application’s private Python. A failed model load or worker exit should leave the main interface open so another model can be selected. Progress and completed images return to the interface; an unresponsive generation can be stopped by ending its worker.
Current loading behavior: the application keeps the active model ready for repeated generations. A model switch starts a replacement worker instead of reusing the previous model’s text encoder or VAE. Changing a sampler recipe for the same loaded model does not require a model switch. Load-stage and worker-process entries in logs help diagnose failures.

A freshly selected model can take time to preload in its worker. Loading failures are reported in the interface and in logs.

VAE

Fresh setup installs and verifies separate official VAEs for both model families: VAE\65West_Default_ZImageTurbo_VAE and VAE\65West_Default_Krea2_VAE. Changing the Active Model between Z-Image Turbo and Krea 2 automatically changes the visible Active VAE to the matching managed default before the model is loaded. Choosing a custom VAE directory refreshes the selector and clears Active VAE without automatically loading a replacement. A compatible custom VAE may still be selected manually. If the matching managed default is unavailable, blank Active VAE safely falls back to the VAE included with the selected pipeline. Run Install_Default_VAE.bat to repair both default VAEs without reinstalling the rest of the application.

Memory modes

ModeUse
Auto (recommended)Lets the program choose the appropriate stable path for the selected model and hardware.
Optimized 16GB (4-bit GPU)Krea 2 optimized Diffusers path with a 4-bit transformer and dedicated 8-bit Qwen3VL text encoder.
Optimized 16GB (8-bit GPU)Quantized GPU path where supported. The Krea 2 optimized pipeline uses a 4-bit transformer and 8-bit text encoder. Supported standalone Krea 2 BF16 .safetensors checkpoints load through the native Diffusers backend.
GPU (BF16 - high VRAM)Fuller precision path for systems with substantially more VRAM.
CPU offloadMoves selected components between CPU and GPU to reduce VRAM pressure.
Sequential CPU offload (lowest VRAM)Most conservative VRAM option, usually with the largest speed penalty.

LoRAs & Wildcards

Included LoRAs panel

Use Browse/Add to add one or more LoRAs. If the LoRA folder field is blank, the program automatically uses the LoRAs folder in the application’s root directory for browsing, discovery, and prompt tags. The Included LoRA list expands vertically as items are added so every listed LoRA remains visible without a vertical scrollbar. The list shows status, filename, and strength. Double-click the Status or LoRA area to toggle an item between Enabled and Disabled. Double-click its Strength cell to edit the value directly, then press Enter or click elsewhere to apply it. The accepted range is -2.0 through 2.0, and the edited value is saved and used for generation immediately.

  • Hide All LoRA Options collapses every other control in the Included LoRAs group. The checkbox remains visible so the complete group can be restored. It is unchecked by default and does not change any LoRA selection, strength, or enable/disable state.
  • Hide included LoRA list collapses the LoRA list and its selection controls to save vertical space. Uncheck it to restore the complete list. The selected LoRAs and their enabled/disabled states are preserved while hidden, and the preference is remembered between launches.
  • Disable Included LoRAs temporarily — prompt tags remain active preserves the Included list but prevents those entries from being used.
  • Ignore Prompt LoRA Tags temporarily leaves tags in the prompt text but omits their adapters during generation.
  • Disable All LoRAs temporarily disables Included and prompt-tagged LoRAs without deleting either source.
  • If the same file appears in both sources, the prompt-tag strength takes precedence and the model is loaded only once.
  • All strengths must be finite values from -5.0 through 5.0. Strong multi-LoRA stacks are reported in the status, generation log, and PNG metadata but are not silently normalized.
  • Default LoRA strength when browsing controls the initial strength assigned to newly added files.
  • The former Selected added LoRA strength box and Apply Strength button are no longer needed; each row owns its editable strength value.
  • Prompt-tag LoRAs continue to work from the configured LoRA folder.
LoRAs must match the active model family. Incompatible LoRAs are skipped with the filename and reason recorded in the log; a Z-Image LoRA does not automatically work with Krea 2.

Wildcard folder

Each wildcard file is a plain .txt file with one option per line. A tag such as __lighting__ reads from lighting.txt. Nested wildcards are chosen randomly; circular references and recursion errors report the wildcard chain and file involved in the generation error and log.

Generation Settings

SettingWhat it controls
Width / HeightFinal image dimensions. Select 512, 640, 768, 832, 864, 896, 1024, 1152, or 1216 pixels from either pulldown, or type any positive whole-number values directly. Typed values override and clear the active ideal-dimensions preset. The program automatically uses the nearest pipeline-safe internal dimensions, then returns the image at the exact Width and Height entered before optional upscaling or border processing.
Ideal Portrait (3:4)Sets Width and Height to 864 × 1152, a recommended portrait layout for Z-Image Turbo.
Ideal Landscape (4:3)Sets Width and Height to 1152 × 864, a recommended landscape layout for Z-Image Turbo. The two ideal presets are mutually exclusive and the selected preset is remembered.
StepsNumber of denoising steps. Turbo models are intended to work with a relatively small number of steps.
Turbo guidanceFixed internally at 0.0 for Z-Image Turbo stability. Because it cannot be changed, no Guidance control is displayed on the interface. Traditional CFG and negative-prompt behavior should not be expected.
SeedA fixed seed reproduces the same noise pattern when the other settings remain the same.
Random seed each generationCreates and displays a new full seed at the beginning of every generation, including every Auto-Generate cycle.
Sampler / SchedulerZ-Image Turbo offers res-multistep/simple, res-multistep/beta, res-multistep/sgm_uniform, Euler/simple, and Euler/beta. Krea 2 shows only Euler/simple and Euler/beta. Changing the selection for the active model does not require a model reload.
Scheduler shiftAllowed range: 0.5–6.0. The suggested default is 3.0 for Z-Image Turbo and 1.15 for Krea 2. Switching model families updates the visible shift to the matching default. The effective sigma schedule is logged for each generation; Cached Image Comparison locks the preceding image’s shift.
Image RefinementOptional second image-to-image diffusion pass for visibly stronger detail, lighting, tonal separation, and depth.
Release 1.0.1: the fixed CPU Lanczos 1.5× option has been removed. Final-output enlargement now uses a user-selected PyTorch super-resolution model from the Included Upscalers list.
Preserve Original-Size Image: This option is off on a fresh installation. Enable it to save the original-size version alongside a successfully upscaled image. An existing saved choice remains in effect after an update.

Image Refinement (Second Pass)

Image Refinement performs an optional image-to-image second pass using the selected model family and its active pipeline components. It shares the loaded model, VAE, text encoder, scheduler, and compatible LoRAs rather than loading a duplicate base model.

The second pass uses a dedicated refinement-only prompt. Landscape and object scenes receive a neutral locked-scene instruction without human-specific identity vocabulary. Scenes that request people receive a separate identity and figure-count lock. This prevents the refinement prompt itself from encouraging new people or other narrative content.

Recommended RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB starting point: Enable Image Refinement, select Balanced Detail & Lighting, use Medium strength, choose 1.50× internal size, and leave Preserve Original enabled. The program checks memory immediately before the second pass and can automatically reduce 1.50× to 1.25× when required.
Graduated system-memory safety: 3 GiB or more of available physical RAM permits the selected refinement scale subject to GPU and commit checks. Between 2 and 3 GiB, refinement is restricted to 1.25×. Below 2 GiB, refinement is skipped. At least 6 GiB of Windows commit headroom is always required. The 1.25× pass requires the greater of 3.00 GiB or 18% of total GPU memory; the 1.50× pass requires the greater of 4.25 GiB or 25%. The final decision uses a fresh snapshot after generation temporaries and unused CUDA cache are released.

Controls

Internal sizeEnlarges the source internally to 1.25× or 1.50× for the refinement pass. The refined image is reduced back to the selected output dimensions afterward.
Preserve OriginalAdds the unrefined base generation to Generation History before the refined result. When Auto-save is enabled, both variants are also saved to the Output folder with Original and Refined in their filenames.

Analog Photo profile

Analog Photo gives the refined result the character of a professionally scanned 35mm color-negative photograph while preserving the original subject and composition. It combines conservative image-to-image guidance with a restrained finishing stage at the selected output size.

This refinement profile is independent of the existing Analog Photo option in Image Style Enhancer. The enhancer influences the initial generation; the refinement profile polishes an already-generated image. They can be used separately or together.

  • Adds deterministic fine emulsion-style grain rather than coarse digital noise.
  • Softens highlight roll-off and applies subtle warm halation only around existing bright areas.
  • Gently warms film-stock color, keeps skin and materials natural, and preserves readable shadow detail.
  • Reduces excessive digital microcontrast and edge crispness without broadly blurring the image.
  • Does not intentionally add scratches, dust, borders, light leaks, heavy fading, or an aged-photo effect.
  • Uses the refinement seed for repeatable finishing, so cached-latent comparisons do not receive random grain differences.
Recommended starting point: Analog Photo, Low strength, and 1.25× internal size. Medium provides more visible film character; High increases both regenerated film character and the risk of changing small image details.

Preservation and fallback behavior

  • The refinement prompt explicitly locks identity, face, expression, wardrobe, pose, hands, camera, crop, background, props, object placement, text, and composition.
  • The same expanded prompt, active LoRAs, seed information, sampler, scheduler, and loaded model components carry into the second pass.
  • Face Swap and Face Detailer run after refinement so those tools operate on the image that will be delivered.
  • If the installed Diffusers version lacks Z-Image image-to-image support, conversion fails, or the refinement pass cannot complete, the program keeps the original generation and reports the reason.
  • After every completed, failed, or cancelled refinement pass, the program releases refinement-only images, callback data, tensors, and unused memory allocations while keeping the loaded model, VAE, LoRAs, and shared refinement pipeline cached.
  • Before refinement begins, the program detaches the completed base image; releases first-pass latents, callback arguments, result containers, and retry objects; synchronizes CUDA; clears unused CUDA cache; and then rechecks GPU VRAM, system RAM, and Windows commit-memory headroom.
  • If 1.50× does not have safe GPU headroom, the program tries 1.25× automatically. If 1.25× or the system-memory checks remain unsafe, refinement is skipped and the original image is kept.
Performance and safety: Refinement adds a second diffusion stage. The 1.50× option processes about 2.25 times the pixel area of the selected output size during that stage. Use 1.25× for lower VRAM use and faster testing. The program records its before/after cleanup snapshots and the final proceed, downgrade, or skip decision in the diagnostic log, and flushes those entries before the memory-intensive pass starts.

Image Post Processing

The former Image Color Processing section is now named Image Post Processing. Its grayscale and saturation controls are unchanged, and it includes Automatic Image Enhancement, optional film grain, a user-configurable model-based final-output upscaler, and an optional final border.

ControlPurpose
Render final image in grayscaleConverts the completed image to neutral grayscale.
Adjust saturationUses the Percent value to reduce or increase color intensity. 100% leaves saturation unchanged.
Automatic Image EnhancementAdaptively corrects tone, contrast, and brightness only when the completed image needs correction. It is disabled by default.
Enhancement StrengthBlends the adaptive correction with the untouched image from 1% to 100%. The default is 50%, and the box is available only when Automatic Image Enhancement is enabled.
Add Film GrainAdds monochrome luminance grain to the final image. It is disabled by default.
Grain StrengthSets grain intensity from 1% to 100%. The default is 12%, and the box is available only when Add Film Grain is enabled.
Upscaler Models DirectorySelects the folder containing compatible PyTorch upscaler models. Leave it blank to use the application’s root Upscalers folder.
Browse/Add UpscalerAdds one or more .pth, .pt, .ckpt, or .safetensors models to Included Upscalers.
Included UpscalersShows each model’s status, filename, and requested Output Size. Double-click a model to activate it. Set Output Size to 1.0× (Restore Only) for compatible native 1× restoration models; the processed image keeps its original dimensions. Only one model can be active at a time.
Output SizeDouble-click this cell and enter a value from 1.25× through 4.0×. The model performs super-resolution at its native scale first; the result is then fitted to the exact requested size when necessary. Therefore, 1.25× remains compatible with native 2× and 4× models, although processing time and peak VRAM use remain close to the model’s full native pass.
Preserve Original-Size ImageEnabled by default. When checked, Generation History and Auto-save retain both the normal-size processed image and the model-upscaled result. When unchecked, only the upscaled result is retained after successful upscaling.
Add border to final imageEnables the Final Image Border. It is disabled by default. The border expands the canvas outward and does not crop or cover the generated image.
Border WidthSets the number of pixels added to every side of the completed image. Enter a whole number from 1 through 2048.
Border ColorOpens the standard color selector so an exact border color can be chosen. The selected hexadecimal color is displayed on the color swatch.
Random ColorSelects one new six-digit hexadecimal border color for each completed generation. The same random color is used for the upscaled result and any preserved original-size variant from that generation. The actual color is stored in image metadata. Uncheck this option to use the saved manual Border Color again.
Border FeatheringSets the inward feather radius. The selected border color fades smoothly toward the untouched image over approximately twice the entered distance, without borrowing bright or strongly colored pixels from the original edge. Enter 0 for a hard edge or a pixel value up to the selected Border Width.
  • 1–35%: subtle correction.
  • 36–65%: balanced general-purpose enhancement.
  • 66–100%: stronger correction while retaining adaptive safeguards.
Adaptive safeguards: The enhancement ignores isolated extreme pixels, corrects luminance without shifting hues, limits highlight clipping and shadow crushing, and avoids lifting very dark scenes unless they contain meaningful highlight information.

Film Grain strength

  • 1–12%: subtle photographic texture.
  • 13–25%: noticeable analog-film character.
  • 26–50%: strong vintage or gritty treatment.
  • Above 50%: intentionally heavy stylization.
Repeatable result: Film grain uses the completed image's generation seed. Repeating the same generation and processing settings produces the same grain pattern.
Processing order: The optional no-swap facial harmonization runs after Image Refinement and before Automatic Image Enhancement. Because harmonization is restricted to feathered face regions and Automatic Image Enhancement adjusts only whole-image luminance, tone, and brightness, the two options can be used together. Saturation and grayscale are applied next, followed by Film Grain and any active Included Upscaler. The Final Image Border is always the last pixel operation, so its color and edge are not altered by enhancement, grain, or upscaling. When Preserve Original-Size Image is enabled, the same final border is also applied to the retained normal-size processed variant.
Model behavior: Upscaling uses Spandrel to identify supported super-resolution architectures and processes the image in memory-safe tiles. The upscaler is unloaded and unused CUDA memory is released afterward. If the selected model cannot load or runs out of memory, the normal-size generated image is preserved instead of failing the completed generation.
Model-file safety: Add models only from sources you trust. Prefer .safetensors when available; PyTorch checkpoint formats can carry more loading risk.
One-time setup for updated installations: Existing installations must run Install_Upscaler_Support.bat once after applying the 1.0.1 update. Fresh installations receive Spandrel automatically through requirements.txt.

Face Swap, Random Faces & Face Detailer

Prompt Face Swap

Preserve Reference Face Details is an optional control in Prompt Face Swap. It starts off, with strength set to 50%. When a reference face is used, it aligns fine skin detail from that reference and blends it into the swapped face after Automatic Face Detailer. It transfers local brightness detail rather than source lighting or skin color, and excludes eyes and lips. Small faces, strong angles, and poor alignment are skipped. This experimental option may help retain freckles and subtle markings but cannot guarantee an exact copy. Start at 50%, lower the strength if texture looks too strong, and compare with the option off using the same seed. The controls are saved in application settings and Prompt Profiles. No additional model downloads are required.

Place source-face images in the configured Prompt face-ref folder and include <face_ref:IMAGE NAME> in the prompt. The program resolves the requested image, removes the control tag before generation, selects the largest detected face in the completed image, and applies the requested identity. The former manual Face Swap checkbox and individual source-image selector are hidden because prompt tags provide the same selection directly inside each prompt.

A lightweight second-stage harmonization pass then matches local color and illumination, feathers the outer face boundary, and restores restrained skin texture so the swapped face blends more naturally into the generated image.

  • The selected source face is cached, reducing repeated source-analysis work.
  • The harmonization pass reuses the existing target-face detection and does not run INSwapper or diffusion a second time.
  • Identity-defining eye, nose, and mouth regions are protected from original-face texture transfer.
  • If harmonization cannot complete, the successful first-pass face swap is retained automatically.
  • A prompt <face_ref:...> tag is the interface-accessible method for selecting and triggering Face Swap.
  • Use the exact filename or the filename without its extension.
  • The program may use GPU-accelerated ONNX Runtime when a CUDA provider is available, with CPU fallback.
A face swap adds post-processing time. The first use may also initialize or download required InsightFace components.

Random Faces

The Random Faces group appears directly below Automatic Face Detailer. Select a folder containing face images, then enable Use a random face image for Face Swap during generation. The option is disabled by default.

  • Each generation selects a new source image at random, including each Auto-Generate cycle.
  • The thumbnail on the right updates before generation to show the exact randomly selected source image that will be used for the face swap. The filename and dimensions are intentionally omitted from the preview.
  • PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, and BMP files in the selected folder and its subfolders are included.
  • An explicit prompt <face_ref:...> tag takes priority over Random Faces for that image.
  • If Random Faces cannot select or apply a usable source image, the completed base image is retained and the failure is recorded in the application log.

Automatic Face Detailer

GFPGAN restoration runs after generation and after face swap. The fidelity weight ranges from 0 to 1:

  • Lower values: stronger restoration.
  • Higher values: stronger preservation of the generated identity.
  • Prompt face thumbnail: When the prompt contains a valid <face_ref:...> tag, the compact viewer on the right side of this section displays the resolved reference image, filename, and dimensions. It refreshes as the prompt or Prompt face-ref folder changes and is also updated from the exact path accepted by generation and saved in Generation History metadata.

Automatic No-Swap Face Harmonization

Automatically enhance faces when no face swap is used is enabled by default. When a generation does not request Face Swap and the full Automatic Face Detailer is off, the program detects usable faces and applies a conservative GFPGAN cleanup with high identity fidelity, original skin-detail preservation, mild face-only sharpening, and a feathered 58% blend with the untouched generated face.

  • It does not run when Face Swap or the full Automatic Face Detailer runs, preventing duplicate restoration.
  • It is skipped when no usable face is detected.
  • If the restoration model is unavailable or processing fails, the original generated image is retained.
  • Automatic Image Enhancement can remain enabled because it runs afterward and does not perform facial reconstruction.

Cached Image Comparison

Image Style Enhancer: Temporarily hidden from the interface. Its preset definitions and supporting code remain in the program for possible restoration later.
Cinematic Photography DI prototype: This preset now treats the source as an already-photographed, locked shot entering a professional theatrical digital-intermediate suite. Its fixed scene-lock preserves identity, expression, hair, wardrobe, pose, viewpoint, crop, environment, architecture, objects, light-source positions, and scene geometry. The Strength value scales only color science, tonal mapping, highlight rolloff, shadow richness, controlled contrast, restrained bloom, and finishing texture. It no longer requests new cinematography, camera placement, lenses, lighting direction, atmosphere, or composition. The remaining presets are unchanged while this prototype is evaluated.

The separate Cached Image Comparison section appears at the end of Core Generation Settings, directly below Sampler / Scheduler. After generating a reference image, enable Reuse cached latent + last image state to test a different LoRA selection or strength against the same reference generation.

  • Reuses the exact cached initial latent from the immediately preceding completed image.
  • Reuses the previous expanded prompt, seed, model, VAE, dimensions, steps, sampler, scheduler, shift, and core processing settings.
  • Uses the currently selected LoRAs and current strengths rather than restoring the reference image’s prior GUI LoRA stack.
  • Does not reroll wildcards or inline prompt choices.
  • The cached latent is kept only in memory during the current program session.
Recommended workflow: Generate a reference image without the test LoRA, add or adjust the LoRA, enable Reuse cached latent + last image state, and generate again. This provides a controlled LoRA comparison, although a strong LoRA can still change identity, pose, wardrobe, or scene content because it changes model conditioning.

Main Viewer & Generation History

Main viewer

The completed image is scaled to fit the available viewer by default. Enable the actual-size/percentage option to inspect the image at a specified percentage and use scrollbars when needed. Double-clicking the viewer opens a separate frameless actual-size viewer in the center of the screen. Horizontal and vertical scrollbars remain hidden unless the full-resolution image exceeds the available viewer area on that axis. Hold the left mouse button on the image or custom status bar to move the viewer during the current viewing session, and use Close Viewer or Escape to close it.

Generation History

Generation History is stored in the program’s session_history folder. When closing, you can preserve it for the next launch or clear it.

Thumbnail focus: When a Generation History image is selected, that thumbnail remains selected and visible as new images are added. If no image is selected, focus follows the newest completed image at the bottom of the list.

Generated filenames include the Image Refinement profile and actual seed; Image Style Enhancer references are not included. A preserved base image uses the selected refinement profile plus Original. Images generated without a successfully applied refinement use No_Refinement.

Closing the program: When Generation History contains images, the program asks Save History Session on Close? Choosing Yes preserves the complete session history in place and restores it the next time the program opens. Choosing No deletes the session-history images and closes the program. Choosing Cancel stops the close operation and leaves the program open with the current history unchanged. If Generation History is empty, the program closes without showing the question.
ButtonAction
Clear HistoryDeletes all history items after confirmation and clears the viewer.
Clear SelectedDeletes only checked history items.
Save SelectedSaves all checked full-size history images to the selected Output Directory. If the Output Directory box is empty, the program uses the Output folder in the installed application root. Relative Output paths are also resolved from the application root, regardless of how the program was launched. Saved thumbnails display a green SAVED badge; the images remain in Generation History.
View Generation PromptOpens a larger copyable view of the final prompt recorded for the currently displayed completed image.
Expand ViewerAllocates more horizontal space to the viewer.
Balanced LayoutRestores the standard workspace balance.

Selected thumbnails keep a black background in the 65West Theme. A green SAVED badge identifies images that have already been saved to the Output Directory, including images saved automatically.

Live Generation Preview

While an image is being sampled, an optional temporary preview appears over the application. A cyan ✥ MOVE badge identifies the correct movable preview. Hold the left mouse button on the badge, preview header, or preview image and drag it anywhere across the full application window, including over the prompt, settings, history, or main-viewer areas. The preview remains inside the application bounds and remembers that location across generations and program launches until it is moved again.

Prompt readout: A compact 7-point field directly below the floating preview image displays the resolved prompt as soon as prompt processing finishes, before model inference begins. It includes wildcard and inline-choice results plus active generation guidance. The text has no fixed width: horizontally resizing the floating preview immediately rewraps the text, and the field expands vertically to keep the complete prompt visible. If Figure Count Guard starts a corrective retry, the field updates to the retry prompt while that pass runs and returns to the prompt belonging to the accepted final image.
  • Enable Live Preview turns the feature on or off. When disabled, no preview decoding is performed and the speed selector is unavailable.
  • Show prompt text in Live Preview hides or restores the prompt area without disabling the image preview. It is enabled by default and its setting is remembered.
  • Current preview size: approximately 380 × 284 pixels.
  • Slow updates about every 2 seconds.
  • Normal updates about every 1 second.
  • Fast updates about every 0.5 second.
  • Real-Time attempts to update after every sampling step.
  • The step count appears above the preview image.
  • At completion, the preview displays the finished image at 100% progress and remains visible for about 2 seconds before the main viewer is updated.
  • The overlay then disappears automatically; it also closes immediately when generation is stopped or fails.
The live preview decodes an intermediate latent image. It may be rough, low-detail, or compositionally incomplete during early steps. Faster modes add more decoding overhead and may slow generation. Preview decoding may be unavailable when the active memory mode does not keep a preview-capable VAE on the GPU.

Slideshow Viewer

The fullscreen slideshow can use either Generation History or the selected Output Directory.

  • Set the number of seconds per image.
  • Enable random order when desired.
  • Pause, resume, randomize, and close from the fullscreen viewer controls.
  • When using Generation History, the running slideshow refreshes in the background and detects newly generated images.
  • Small images may be enlarged for display, with aspect ratio preserved and a moderate enlargement limit.
  • The original image files are never modified by slideshow scaling.
New Generation History images are inserted near the current slideshow position so they can appear without restarting the slideshow.

Notes Box

The former Save As, Open Saved Image, and diagnostic-log button area has been replaced by a full-width multiline Notes box.

  • Use it for prompt ideas, LoRA testing results, model observations, or general project notes.
  • The notes remain available while the application is open.
  • When the program closes, the notes are written to settings.json and restored at the next launch.

Files & Folders

FolderPurpose
ModelsBoth protected official model folders and optional external models. Standalone external Krea 2 models must be BF16 .safetensors files in version 1.0.1. Switching models does not remove either protected default.
VAEManaged Z-Image Turbo and Krea 2 VAEs, plus optional compatible custom VAEs.
LoRAsLoRA files used by the UI and prompt tags.
UpscalersDefault library for compatible model-based super-resolution files.
Face-SwapPrompt-selectable source face images.
session_historyTemporary Generation History images and metadata. Unsaved images can be moved to Output when the program closes; temporary copies of images already marked SAVED are removed without another prompt.
logsDiagnostic and generation logs. Model-worker activity is logged with the selected generation or load session.
Selected output folderAuto-saved generated images.

The program creates its optional content directories when needed.

Troubleshooting

Auto-Generate keeps making the same image
Enable Random seed each generation. The seed box should update before every Auto-Generate cycle.
The prompt asks for one person, but extra figures appear
State the intended number of people explicitly near the beginning of the prompt and describe the framing clearly, such as one adult woman, solo portrait, no other people visible.
The style profile is too weak
Set the profile to 1.0 or above and reinforce the desired medium in the visible prompt. Z-Image Turbo uses positive prompt conditioning rather than a traditional negative prompt workflow.
The face swap is slow or stutters
The first use may initialize InsightFace and ONNX Runtime. Reusing the same source image allows the source-face cache to help. CUDA acceleration is used only when the installed ONNX Runtime exposes a CUDA provider.
No face is detected
Use a clear, front-facing source image with a large unobstructed face. For the generated target, ensure the face is not too small, heavily occluded, or turned completely away.
The live preview stays blank
The current memory mode may keep the VAE off the GPU. The final image can still complete normally even when live preview decoding is unavailable.
Image Refinement could not complete or was skipped for memory safety
The original generated image is kept automatically. The program may reduce 1.50× to 1.25× or skip the second pass when GPU VRAM, system RAM, or Windows commit-memory headroom is unsafe. The generation status and diagnostic log identify the safety decision and limiting resource. Run install.bat if the message says Z-Image image-to-image support is missing. If a safety warning appears, select 1.25×, reduce the output dimensions or active LoRAs, close other memory-intensive programs, or use a CPU-offload memory mode.
Image Refinement changes too much
Change Strength to Low. Version 1.0.29 uses lower strength values and content-aware scene locks to reduce composition drift. For non-human prompts, and whenever Figure Count Guard is enabled with a specific human count, the program also compares faces before and after refinement. A refined result containing additional detected people is rejected and the original image is kept.
Back-to-back Image Refinement generations slow down
Version 1.10.169 releases the first-pass latent, callback data, pipeline result, and retry objects before checking memory for refinement. It also releases refinement-only temporary memory after successful, failed, and cancelled passes. If repeated generations still slow down, review the log entries beginning with Image refinement CUDA memory, Image refinement system memory, and Image refinement safety decision; try 1.25× internal size or reduce the selected output dimensions.
When should I use Refresh AI Memory?
Quick Memory Refresh clears disposable runtime allocations while retaining the current worker’s loaded base model. Deep Pipeline Reset ends the current worker and reloads the selected model from a fresh process. Both preserve model files, prompts, settings, generated images, Session History, and disk caches.
The model could not be loaded
Check the selected model path, Krea 2 Hugging Face access, matching VAE, available GPU memory, and Windows paging-file capacity. A standalone external Krea 2 model must be a BF16 .safetensors file; FP8, FP16, FP32, INT8, NVFP4, GGUF, and .ckpt Krea 2 files are not supported in version 1.0.1. Model loading runs inside a private worker, so a failed worker should leave the interface open. Review logs for Isolated model worker, Model load resources, and Model load failed. For a gated official Krea 2 model, run Setup_Krea2_Model_Access.bat after accepting the model terms.
Generation remains busy after pressing Stop
Stop requests an interruption from the active worker. If it cannot respond within 15 seconds, the application terminates that worker and can start a fresh one for the next model load or generation. The main window stays open. Review the current generation log for the last completed stage.
The Included Upscaler does not run
Run Install_Upscaler_Support.bat once, restart the application, and confirm the selected model file still exists. Spandrel supports many common architectures but not every upscaler checkpoint. If the log reports an unsupported architecture, select another model. If it reports GPU memory exhaustion, choose a smaller source image or a lighter upscaler model.
The slideshow image looks soft
The image may be smaller than the screen and enlarged for display. This scaling does not modify the original file. Very small source images will naturally look softer when enlarged.
The program says another copy is already running
The program uses single-instance protection. Restore or close the existing window before starting another copy.

Applying Updates

  1. Close the application.
  2. Extract the supplied update ZIP.
  3. Copy the included files into the installed program directory.
  4. Allow Windows to replace the older files.
  5. Launch the program and confirm that the updated behavior works. Maintenance updates can retain the same program version number.
Normal update ZIPs contain only files required for that update. A complete package is provided only when specifically requested.
Existing installations only: after copying the 1.0.1 update files, run Install_Upscaler_Support.bat once before launching the model-based upscaler. A fresh installation handles this automatically.
